Between Schorte and Schopse

In the Schortetal, fluorspar has been mined underground near Lanwegen for centuries. Although the mines have been closed for almost 30 years, increased world market prices make it more likely that mining will resume. The tunnels have been open to visitors for some time now, and they can even explore the mine using the tunnel railway.
