Traditionally, the Advent season in Sonneberg begins with an extraordinary Christmas program in the ambiance of the German Toy Museum. Not to be confused with the Christmas markets that also begin at this time, the program, with its diverse hands-on activities, is especially dedicated to children and their anticipation of Christmas.
In September 2024, after 75 years, city selection teams from Sonneberg and Neustadt will meet to commemorate a legendary match between their football ancestors.
