The Ilmenau Christmas market only fills Lindenstrasse over the third weekend of Advent, but the interest from visitors and from the many people who design the market and make it unique is all the more intense.

It's actually not recommended to stay longer at each stand. Otherwise you won't be able to get to know the entire Ilmenau Christmas market in one evening. Angie still decides to have a chat at one or two stalls that either smell particularly tempting or seem particularly interesting for other reasons.

The Thuringian Forest regional association wants to further develop the Rennsteig region as a definite mountain bike destination and is building on the network with all the partners who can contribute to this and who will ultimately benefit from joint tourism marketing.

On a smaller scale, but no less festive, the Chamber of Crafts brings together all of this year's graduates of their master's courses and, together with the Thuringian Minister of Economic Affairs, honors this important step that the mostly young people have "mastered" for their personal advancement as well as for the craft as a whole.

At the end of winter, glass bead lovers gather at the Elias Glassworks in Lauscha once a year to stock up on colorful glass, to talk shop, to demonstrate certain manufacturing techniques and ideas, to swap and buy. And they also come from far away, as the babble of voices in the colored glassworks these days reveals.

For the third time, I was able to present the career and action event “Handwerk All-In” in an aftermovie for the South Thuringia Chamber of Crafts. An original event film was created to promote the next edition of the popular hands-on day at the BTZ Rohr-Kloster.

One hundred years ago, Bad Salzungen received spa town status. A reason to really celebrate, especially since the graduation tower, which is so important for this status and for the many hoped-for spa guests of the future, has been resurrected just in time for the festival.

A Thuringian with world fame
A special exhibition in the GoetheStadtMuseum Ilmenau is dedicated to a son of the city who made film history in Berlin. More than a hundred years ago, Karl-August Geyer took film production and reproduction down a revolutionary path and industrialized it with the Geyer works.
