The fact that the greatest German poet also travelled in the Thuringian mountains as a naturalist and as the right-hand man of the Duke of Weimar is not so new, but only a few people know the details. A special exhibition in the Ilmenau Goethe City Museum can now provide a remedy.

Two Ilmenau clubs will be at the start when the southwest German badminton championships are held in their home hall. And this year it's not just the children and young people who are fighting for the coveted titles, but all age groups are fighting for points, titles and perhaps even tickets to the World Championships.
